Nestled in it's own secluded valley lies the magnificent wine and olive farm L'Olivier. The farm is situated on the southern slopes of a small mountain range on the outskirts of Stellenbosch.
Stellenbosch is synonymous with the oldest wine route in the country, which draws wine lovers and tourists from around the world. Its one of the most beautiful and heritage conscious towns in South Africa.
Olive oil has been produced for centuries, however up until now the potential of South African olive groves has not been fully realised. There are 15 hectares of olive trees, mainly mission and lucino. Each tree was grafted from one sample, originally imported from Greece and planted in1947. In 1999 the Estate planted a further 500 trees of an Italian cultivar in order to improve the olive oils flavour and quality. LOliviers Extra Virgin Olive Oil is cold pressed and unfiltered and contains no additives.
The Georgian house has four luxurious and stylish en-suite bedrooms all with breathtaking views of the garden and the valley. The principal reception rooms are sophisticated and elegant and comprise the drawing room and dining room. The spacious and traditionally furnished sitting and billiard rooms open directly onto the terrace, garden and swimming pool. For larger parties the charming Estate cottage can also be made available.
Outside, dine on the terrace overlooking the garden or relax by the swimming pool in the sun. This is a totally private retreat. Take some time and walk or ride through the olive groves
