10h00 visit the winery of Tokara Estate, owned by GT Ferreira of RMB. Tokara boasts breathtaking views, an ultra modern winery and an olive oil shed, all in extremely stylish surroundings. The outstanding wines are made by the talented Miles Mossop.
10h45 visit Dornier Estate; owned by a Swiss family, this is an ultra modern winery which recently won the global wine award for best architecture in 2006. Its a little off the beaten track and not every wine tourist gets to find it, but its a very interesting stop and a beautiful surrounding.
11h30 Stellenzicht Estate; owned by a Hans Joachim Schreiber. This is an old property (originally owned by the Cloete family of Constantia) although the winery buildings are relatively new. The wines are made by Guy Webber, and every ones a winner.!
12h15 visit Hidden Valley Estate. This is a new and very strikingly contemporary looking winery situated high up on the Helderberg.. Owned by Dave Hidden, this is a superb example of what can be done when you have deep pockets and a good sense of taste. The wines that are now coming into production are also climbing the crest of rivalling the best in the Cape, in a very short space of time.
13h00 - lunch at 96 Winery Road Restaurant. Owned by Ken Forrester and Martin Meinert (both wine producers), and managed by Kens brother Alan, this is a mecca for winemakers in the Cape. Ken is also a member of the highly esteemed and ancient Chaine des Rotisseurs. It has an extensive wine list and their signature dishes are the Hollandse Peppered Fillet and the Duck & Cherry Pie!
15h00 visit Vergelegen Estate; owned by the Anglo-American Group, this has to be one of the most beautiful, glorious and celebrated wine estates of the Cape. Packed with history, the setting is second to none, and the wines are made by arguably one of the best winemakers in the Cape.
16h30 visit Boschendal Estate; owned BY DGB, this is one of the most beautiful landscapes in the area. Famed for its picnics, restaurants, historical homestead beneath the back-drop of the Drakensberg mountains.

10h00 visit Rustenberg Wine Estate: owned by the Barlow family, the drive from the entrance gate up to the main buildings is worth the visit alone.. This is one of my favourite estates in the Cape it has beauty, grace and historic disposition. The wines are outstanding, the buildings among some of the finest Cape Dutch architecture around, and the jersey dairy herd provide a magnificent down to earth touch whilst being watched over by the dramatic Simonsberg mountain.
